Meet MPP Andrew Dowie

MPP Andrew Dowie is proud to have earned your trust to represent all of Windsor–Tecumseh at the Ontario Legislature as our Member of Provincial Parliament for Windsor–Tecumseh.

A determined problem-solver, Andrew’s skills and experience working in government are delivering tangible results for Windsor and for Tecumseh.

As an engineer, Andrew’s career has been focused on finding the best outcome able to be delivered within a series of constraints.  His relentless optimism brings forward the people and the resourcing needed to help achieve Windsor–Tecumseh’s community goals, including completing the Windsor-Essex Regional Acute Care Hospital.

Andrew is experienced in serving the community, having been first elected to Tecumseh Town Council in 2014 and acclaimed in Ward 1 in 2018.  Andrew regularly volunteers his time at events and serving with local associations and youth programs.

Andrew’s passion for life includes spending time with his wife Mary as well as their two cats Harper and Findlay.  Their adventures include healthy doses of canoe tripping, hiking, and kayaking everywhere from Hillman Marsh to Quetico, from which Andrew can sometimes be convinced to leave behind his beloved BlackBerry.
